Dave,
You took me back to the early 60’s with your post about the Garcelon Stamp Company. I did the same exact thing with my stamp collecting. Also other companies, like Littleton Stamp Company. My stamps are now lonely and in boxes and albums in storage. Rather sad. Is there any place I could donate them or sell them?. No family member interested in them. Im getting old.
Thanks for the journey in time.
Sincerely,
Curtis Caughey
Hi Curtis. I am in the same dilemma wrt disposing of my stamp collection. Nobody wants them anymore. It was our way of travelling back in the day. Sadly the world has moved on from snail mail and use of some gorgeous postage stamps. Good luck in finding a new home for your collection. Does e-bay offer any hope of unloading them? Thanks for you comment, Dave.
Me too!
Hi Dave,
I read with great interest your account of working for Imperial Oil at Ioco. Would you be willing to talk (or email) further about the history of the oil refining business along Burrard Inlet? We at the Burnaby Museum would like to know more, although we specifically are interested in the refineries on the Burnaby waterfront.
thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric, nice to hear from you about your interest in Burrard Inlet oil refinery history. What you read in my blog about Ioco is the extent of my knowledge on the subject. I can only point you to other potential sources of information. Art Quan who I worked with and lives locally may be of some help mailto:akquan@telus.net
An academic who has written about oil spills in the Burrard Inlet may have some sources for you https://www.seankheraj.com/burrard-inlet-beaches-and-tanker-oil-spills-a-historical-perspective/
Sorry I could not be of more help. Good luck with this research.
